Pink Maxi Skirt + Edgy Accessories
Hiiii lovelies and Happy Wednesday!
I'm going to give y'all a quick life update before I talk about this super flowy pink maxi skirt that I paired with a basic olive tank and some edgy accessories.
In blog news, I'll be doing some exciting collaborations which you should be seeing soon!! Eek! I love meeting new people and connecting with others, especially those in my niche. Sometimes, I actually crave it. So, be on the lookout for that!
Sidenote: This blogging stuff is hard work, y'all. I'm not going to lie. I'm being a bit transparent here, but I want to be honest with you guys. It is waaaay more work than I thought it would ever be. That being said, I promise I absolutely love doing it, and love hearing all the positive feedback I get from y'all! It keeps me going....so keep it coming!!!
My family always comes first, and for the past couple weeks, I have been trying to get two blog posts out per week, but I think it's just too much for now. I'm dropping back to one post a week, and I'm going to try to pick a set day of the week (thinking either Wednesdays or Thursdays) to shoot out my weekly blog post. Will keep you updated on this for sure!
In family news, my daughter got her first bike, which she is thrilled about. She's been practicing up and down the sidewalk all week. Her tricycle got passed down to her brother, because she's a "big girl" now, and she's the first to tell anyone that, lol! The hubby and I want to take the kids to an Astros game coming up soon. Just need to lock down a date.
We also have been having a bunny visit our backyard, almost nightly! The kids named him Nibbles and we feed him baby carrots. He seriously lets us get sooooo close to him, we've thought about adopting him as a pet ;) It's been really fun for all of us, me included!
In fitness news, I am currently on Week 4 of BBG, and things are going really well. I can already tell a difference in my body since taking about six weeks off from doing it. If you missed my last fitness post, you can read all about it here. I'm a firm believer in this program, and definitely feel more toned already, even after only 4 weeks. Determined to finish the full 12 weeks this time. Last time, I stopped at week 10.
Anyways, hope you enjoyed the quick life update. Now onto the nitty gritty! In fashion news, I'm talking all about this gorgeous pink maxi skirt paired with some edgy accessories. Again, I teamed up with Arzu Vargas Photography who shoots the most beautiful images, and she captured this outfit perfectly.
Pink Maxi Skirt
This pink maxi has such great movement to it, I honestly just feel like twirling in it all day long when I'm wearing it, haha! It's perfect for spring or summer, and you can dress it up or down. I've already thought of another way to style it for y'all (hint: black graphic tee anyone?!?!) I actually bought this skirt at a random store in Las Vegas when we lived there, but I have an almost exact pink pleated maxi skirt linked for you (which I also own in olive green, so I trust linking it for you.)
I know y'all know...I don't mind showing off my legs, but I also love NOT to show them, too. Let me tell you why. Transparency here again, guys...
Ever since both pregnancies, I have had some spider veins and varicose veins that have popped up on my legs. They got worse with my second pregnancy. I know, not so glamorous right? But....it's real life. So...although I try not to let them bother me, they do make me self-conscious at times. So having them covered makes me feel a little less exposed. Silly, I know, but again, just being honest. Anyone else have this problem after pregnancy? I heard they're hereditary. But my mom doesn't have them??
So, I LOVE that this skirt actually covers my legs. I also love the price of it. I paid under $30 for this one, I believe, and the one I have linked for you is also only $30! Such a great price, and this skirt is so versatile.
I paired the pink maxi with my olive-colored scoop neck tank from H&M which is a couple years old, but linked almost identical one for you below.
So, y'all also know I like to mix feminine with edgy. If you missed my last post about this, you can catch it here. So no surprise really that I mixed some edgy accessories with this super feminine pink maxi skirt :) Are you beginning to see a trend?!
I also paired it with a basic olive green tank from H&M, and this statement necklace is from.....wait for it.....Wal Mart. Y'all. Don't knock it till you try it! I always look at their costume jewelry section now when I go.
The round stamped ring was from a thrift store, and I got it for a dollar. Seriously. And the silver earrings were also from the same thrift store (in Iowa) also for a dollar. I love my thrift store shopping!!!
The leather bracelet with the rhinestones I got from my sister-in-law as a gift, and it's one of my favorites, because of the feminine and edgy factor all in one! The shoes are from Target and still available online! They are surprisingly really comfortable.

I could definitely see myself wearing this look to a bridal/baby shower, church, a dressier type event, a day date with the hubby, or even on a girls trip to say a winery??? (Yes please! Can I make that happen with someone?!)
I will link the items for y'all below. In the skirt, I have a size medium for reference, and I wear it pretty high up on my waist with a shirt tucked into it. Would also be very cute with a bodysuit.
I'm hoping you guys have had a great week, and have an even better weekend! We don't have much planned for the weekend, but we shall see what's in store ;) Temps have really been hot in Houston, so we can't handle being outside for too long, unless we're at the pool!
Nice chatting! I'll catch you guys next week on the blog! Stay confident ladies. And as always, dress yourself in items YOU love. Thanks for stopping by.
